Les Noces with the Philharmonia Orchestra


Pierre-Laurent Aimard joins the Philharmonia Orchestra and principal conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen on Thursday, May 26 for Les Noces, Igor Stravinsky’s ballet and orchestral concert work evoking the story of a Russian peasant wedding. Russian theatre director Irina Brown’s semi-staged production also features choreography by Quinn Sacks, the Philharmonia Voices choir, the Soloists of the Mariinsky Theatre, and pianists Tamara Stefanovich, Nenad Le?i?, and Lorenzo Soulè.

The performance — which also includes Stravinsky’s one-act operas Renard and Buffa — will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 from London’s Royal Festival Hall.
