Pierre-Laurent Aimard releases The Well-Tempered Clavier, Book II on Pentatone, available digitally from 24 October 2025. Ten years after his acclaimed recording of Book I for Deutsche Grammophon, the French pianist brings his signature clarity and insight to Bach’s second set of 24 Preludes and Fugues.

Described as “a vibrant and endlessly inventive work”, Aimard’s interpretation reflects his deep engagement with both early and contemporary repertoire. The album is also available on CD from 7 November. [prestomusic.com]
