Pierre-Laurent Aimard, named earlier this year the 2017 Ernst von Siemens Prize winner, receives the prize on Friday, 2 June at Munich’s Prinzregententheater for demonstrating a life’s devotion to the service of music.

Aimard, upon receiving the prize, performs works by George Benjamin, György Kurtág, György Ligeti, Marco Stroppa, and Elliott Carter. Aimard also takes the stage with pianist Tamara Stefanovich, for a piece for four hands by Vassos Nicolaou.
