This spring, Pierre-Laurent travels to Portugal to perform two concerts as part of his residency at Casa da Música.

The first concert on March 21 sees Pierre-Laurent joining the Porto Symphony Orchestra Casa da Música and Baldur Brönnimann in a concert titled “Aimard in the Celestial City.” For this program, Pierre-Laurent explores urban-influenced compositions of Charles Ives, Olivier Messiaen, and John Adams.

On April 26, Pierre-Laurent joins the Remix Ensemble Casa da Música for Hugues Dufort’s L’origine du Monde, for piano and ensemble, a piece which deconstructs conventional ideas in an attempt to make the ensemble into a piano resonance box.
