Upcoming Winter Performances
Pierre-Laurent Aimard continues his 2021–22 season with engagements in the United States and Europe. For two performances on January 21 and 22, PLA joins Ludovic Morlot and the Barcelona Symphony for a program that includes piano works by Schumann and Carter. Then, he performs Messiaen’s Vingts regards sur l’Enfant-Jésus in Cologne (Jan 23), Amsterdam (Jan 30), and Paris (Feb 15).
Later, Pierre-Laurent Aimard heads to the United States for a recital in Maryland (Feb 27) and two performances of Bartók’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Seattle Symphony (March 3 & 5).
On March 20, he performs the Well-Tempered Klavier Book 2 at Saffron Walden. Then, PLA joins the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra and conductor Ingo Metzmacher for performances of Tristan Murail’s Le Désenchantement du monde in Hamburg (Mar 24 & 27) and Lübeck (Mar 25). On March 29, he heads to Dublin for his National Concert Hall recital debut.
